Despite the existence of more than 7000 languages in the world, a small group of just 10 languages dominates the majority of internet usage. Africa is home to more than 2000 languages, and individuals in these countries are at a high risk of missing access to accurate and relevant information due to low internet penetration. This webinar presents the continued effort to change this story by developing speech software for low-resource languages. Join Antony and the Marconi Lab as they share their progress in developing Swahili speech recognition software.

The purpose of this workshop is to disseminate the findings of our recent research in Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging field.
The workshop will be attended by researchers, professionals, and policymakers from diverse fields, who will have the opportunity to learn about the findings of the research work and discuss the implications for policy and practice. It will also serve as a forum for mutual understanding, allowing us to better explore the challenges, successes, and how AI and machine learning can be integrated into Uganda's healthcare system, specifically radiology, and imaging. The workshop will be divided into presentation sessions and keynote speeches, each dedicated to a presentation and discussion of the research findings, challenges, and best practices.
